TOP 09 (name derived from Czech: Tradice Odpovědnost Prosperita, lit. 'Tradition Responsibility Prosperity') is a liberal-conservative political party in the Czech Republic, led by Markéta Pekarová Adamová. TOP 09 holds 14 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and has three MEPs. TOP 09 has been noted especially for two stances: support of fiscal conservatism and for the European Union, being firmly in favour of European integration. Generally, the party is considered to lean to both liberal and conservative strains of right-of-centre thought, gradually becoming increasingly liberal compared to its official stance of conservatism.
