Oakwood is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,667 at the 2010 census. It is an inner ring suburb of Cleveland. Oakwood is located at 41°22′01″N 81°30′14″W / 41.367054°N 81.503783°W / 41.367054; -81.503783. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.45 square miles (8.94 km2), of which 3.44 square miles (8.91 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water. Oakwood was incorporated in 1951. In 1968 it enacted a home rule charter. The village is governed by a mayor-council form of government, with full-time services.
