Mae Hong Son province (Burmese: မဲဟောင်ဆောင်; Thai: แม่ฮ่องสอน, pronounced [mɛ̂ː.hɔ̂ŋ.sɔ̌ːn]; Northern Thai: ᩯᨾ᩵ᩁᩬ᩵ᨦᩈᩬᩁ; Shan: မႄႈႁွင်ႈသွၼ်; formerly called Mae Rong Son), also spelled Maehongson, Mae Hong Sorn or Maehongsorn, is one of Thailand's seventy-six provinces (changwat). It lies in upper northern Thailand and is the westernmost province. Neighboring provinces are (clockwise from north) Shan State of Myanmar, Chiang Mai and Tak.
