East Gippsland Art Gallery (EGAG) is a public art gallery located in Bairnsdale, Victoria, Australia. Established in 1992 by the then-City of Bairnsdale after local residents raised concerns that East Gippsland lacked a public gallery, it occupies the historic former Bairnsdale Shire Council Chambers building, constructed in 1868. The gallery operates as an independent not-for-profit organisation governed by a Board of Management elected annually at a public AGM, with principal funding from East Gippsland Shire and support from the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. It presents approximately 22 exhibitions annually alongside monthly openings, artist talks, workshops, and community events, with a focus on local and regional artists, while also operating a shop selling works by East Gippsland makers.
